Face Lift

The aim of Face Lift Surgery at our North Shore and Norwest, NSW plastic surgery practice is to restore a more youthful contour and appearance to the face and neck. Dr Chaithan Reddy uses the most advanced techniques at his disposal to produce refined, natural-looking facial rejuvenation through Face Lift Surgery.

What is Face Lift Surgery?

Face lift surgery is clinically known as Meloplasty or Rhytidectomy. Most face lifts are performed for people aged 40 to 65, but it may be performed outside this age bracket.

With ageing, various changes in the facial region occur. These include the development of facial rhytids (wrinkles), loss of skin tone resulting in an aged and saggy appearance to the tissues, and loss of the normal facial volume that is otherwise present in the youthful face.

The development of jowls, together with ptosis (sagging) of the cheek structures, results in a face taking on a more “square” and aged appearance.

Face Lift Surgery, performed by Dr Reddy at any one of our preferred private hospitals in the North Shore, Norwest, and Western Sydney regions, is designed to resuspend the facial tissues to a more youthful position. This involves tightening the facial muscles, repositioning fat deposits, and tightening and removal of excess skin.

There are various types of facelift procedures ranging from thread lifts, MACS lifts, Short Scar face lifts, to Traditional Face lifts.

Dr Reddy has a special interest and expertise in facial rejuvenation and tailors his techniques to address your specific concerns. The results of facelift surgery can be long lasting. Many patients report that they look up to 10 years younger.

Can Face Lift Surgery be combined with other procedures?

Depending upon your specific needs, other procedures may be undertaken to complement your facelift surgery.

  • Non-surgical procedures designed to improve the texture of the skin can be combined with facelift surgery
  • Brow lift, neck lift, and eyelid surgery may be performed at the same time
  • Fat grafting to restore lost facial volume can be undertaken at the same time of facelift surgery
  • The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia
  • You can usually be discharged the day after surgery
